Anomet Precious Metal Clad Wire and Ribbon are metallurgically bonded to a core material, feature a smooth, consistent surface finish, are functionally equivalent to solid products, and cost considerably less. Ideally suited for use in medical devices and other high-reliability components, precious metals can include platinum for biocompatibility, oxidation, and corrosion-resistance, gold for contact-resistance, and palladium or silver. Providing greater ductility and formability than filled or plated products, Anomet Precious Metal Clad Wire is available from 0.002-inch to 0.125-inch O.D. and Ribbon up to 1-inch wide, with 2 percent or more cladding thickness, depending upon the desired properties. The core materials can include stainless steel, KovarŪ, niobium, NitinolŪ, nickel-iron, molybdenum, tantalum, and titanium.
